International input improvement:
When checkmark "Terminal_Enable_Windows_Keyboard_and_IME_Translation" in the particular terminal window is checked, terminal allows non-ASCII (international) input from Windows keyboard and Input Method Editors (IME). Non-ASCII input is translated from UTF-16 to UTF-8 and sent to the local or remote shell to which terminal is connected. Full UTF-16 range of input is supported (including surrogate pairs representing characters from UNICODE Supplemental Plane). Third party IMEs are also supported via WM_UNICHAR message interface, though I do not have third party IME to test with my terminal. This mode is useful when, for example, working with CYGWIN or with LINUX servers, as they have full UTF-8 support. PowerShell and cmd shells will also work with one limitation. When terminal is connected to PowerShell via proxywinconsole.exe, surrogate pairs are not supported because they are not supported by MS Windows Console, so they are discarded by proxywinconsole.exe wrapper, instead of being passed through MS Windows Console to PowerShell.
When checkmark "Terminal_Enable_Windows_Keyboard_and_IME_Translation" in the particular terminal window is not checked, terminal will only accept keyboard input and will translate all keypresses internally, bypassing Windows international features, so that only ASCII keyboard input is allowed. This is default mode to protect remote shells that are unable to handle UTF8 input (for example, command shell of some telecommunication controller, router or switch).
Clipboard Copy in Terminal is faster now:
When text is selected in the terminal scroll back buffer, this text is automatically copied to clipboard on selection. The speed of this copying is improved now.
